T-Mobile USA will release the BlackBerry Curve 8520 on August 5th, 2009. Dubbed as BlackBerry Gemini, the smartphone will be released via retail stores, RPS and Wallmart. The new Curve 8520 is the first BlackBerry device to come with optical trackpad navigation instead of the traditional trackball. The phone also features a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GSM/EDGE connectivity, a 2MP digital camera and access to BlackBerry App World. No word on pricing at this time.

Well, there wasn’t exactly much mystery left around this one, but it looks like the HTC-made Dash 3G (or Maple, or S522, or Snap) has now finally rolled its way into availability on T-Mobile’s website, just as expected. While its full suggested price is $349.99, T-Mobile will gladly let this one go for just $169.99 on a two-year contract, which’ll of course get you a Windows Mobile 6.1-based device with a full QWERTY keyboard, and plenty of niceties like built-in WiFi, GPS, Exchange support, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, and some nifty red accents and refined touches that certainly make the original Dash look a bit dated in comparison.

We’re finally allowed to tell you that T-Mobile’s second Android-powered handset will indeed be the T-Mobile myTouch 3G. An HTC-manufactured device, already available in other countries with other carriers, finally will make its way to T-Mobile USA in early August. It is available for pre-order on July 8th for a retail price of $199 with two year agreement. The rumored color options were correct with white, black, and “distinctive merlot” colorizations. Here’s a list of full specifications, and further information is available after the break!

T-Mobile is really pushing customization options on the myTouch 3G with exclusive applications like the ones below:

behavior recognition, a recommendation engine and location relevant information, this combination of learning is exclusive to Sherpa and unlike any experience currently on the market.”

Call it an announcement of an announcement, if you will — not quite as detailed as we’d like, but it’s one small morsel of information on the long road to the US’ second Android handset. So this really does not look anything like a Bigfoot we see some time ago, but we can see the family resemblance sorta squint if we really (really, really) hard. According to the Boy Genius report, what we find here is suspected Samsung Android-powered for Bigfoot T-Mobile, said the attack will be high end of the line service smartphone thanks to 3-inch capacitive AMOLED display, full QWERTY, 3 megapixel camera, and nature, HSDPA.
