This simple candybar phone features a 1.8-inch 128 x 160 TFT display, a VGA camera, a Stereo FM radio, a 32MB of internal memory, web2Go, My Faves, Bluetooth, 2.5mm headset jack and supports dual-band GSM/GPRS connectivity. Samsung is preparing to launch its new dual slider phone called the M3310. The handset is basically a music phone that offers a QVGA TFT display with 65k colors, an alphanumeric keypad, music control keys, a 3.2MP camera, an FM radio, a 40MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.

Pong Research Company’s new cell phone case claims to reduce mobile phone radiation from the antenna thanks to the use of its tight silicone skin. The skin contains a proprietary technology module that is aligned with the phone’s antenna and attracts the radiative energy up and away from the user’s head. The user will still maintain a full-strength signal without compromising the cell phone’s battery life or functionality. According to tests conducted by the Federal Communications Commission, radiation levels have been reduced by up to 60%, while the hotspot cell phone radiation is down by 85%. The case is currently available only for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS for $59.95 a pop. The Blackberry and other models will be available later this year

Here are some leaked informations including pictures of Nokia’s upcoming 2220 slider phone. Measuring 97.2mm x 47mm x 15.9mm, this entry-level phone will feature a TFT display with 160 x 128 resolution, a 0.3-megapixel camera, a 10MB of internal memory, an FM tuner, an Opera Mini web browser and supports GSM/GPRS (900/1800 MHz) connectivity. Its battery can last up to 8 hours in talk time or up to 400 hours in standby mode. The Nokia 2220 will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year for unannounced price yet.

The FCC has approved the Nokia 5230, which means that the handset will be available in the US market very soon. The Nokia 5230 provides 900/2100 frequencies on the WCDMA band and supports 3G. Good news for those who are living in Belgium since Samsung will release a limited edition of the Samsung Star S5230, which is also known as the Samsung Star Think Pink. For every handset sold, Samsung will donate €10 to Think Pink Belgium – an organization that fights against breast cancer. The phone comes jam packed with a 3-inch touchscreen display, a built-in accelerometer, a TouchWiz user interface, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP connectivity, an integrated stereo FM radio, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a microSD memory card slot. This limited edition Samsung Star Think Pink will retail for €149 and is available until December this year.

Nokia has finally announced the release date of its Nokia N86 NAM for the US market. This dual-slider phone will start shipping to US retailers on August 22nd for $499 unlocked. You are lucky if you are living in South Korea because Apple’s iPhone 3G S will be released via KTF, the country’s second largest carrier. Kim Yeon-hak, KT Group’s CFO, has confirmed the availability of the highly anticipated smartphone in Korea. Sadly, there is no info on pricing or release date so far. I guess the handset will be similar to the one in the US. The 16GB is priced at $200, meanwhile the 32GB retails for $300.
